Tube-plate heat exchanger
For external heat transfer between low viscosity fluids. Very suitable for high-purity and moderate polluted media e.g. all anorganic acids. Also as a condenser for corrosive vapors up to 400 m3/h approx.
The assembly of tube-plates forms a double wallet plastic pressure vessel enclosing two concentric "square shaped" chambers. The outer chamber is divided by two diagonal partition walls. The diagonal partition devides the "square shaped" header into two "L shaped" inlet and outlet headers for the tubeside fluid. The inner central chamber forms a channel for the shellside fluid. The tubeside fluid flows back and forth through the tubing while the shellside fluid flows across the tubes in the central channel. Any number of plates can be welded together to form modules which are held together with mechanical joints and completed by end caps.
