Introduction
Metal expansion joints are indispensable elements for pipeline technology. They are used to compensate for changes in length which arise in pipelines from temperature differences. In addition, they are able to absorb vibrations arising from pumps, motors, compressors or turbines. Axial, lateral or angular movements can be compensated depending on the specific situation, and we are happy to advise you on the best type of compensation.
DEKOMTE stainless steel expansion joints are manufactured of single-walled or multi-walled bellows. The standard designs listed in the following tables provide an overview of our range and can aid you in your design considerations. However, we would recommend that you provide us with detailed information on each individual use as we can then technically optimise the possible expansion joints taking account of movements, pressure, temperature etc. which usually leads to lower costs as well.

Nominal diameters
DN 15 to DN 6000. From DN 250 intermediate sizes can be manufactured without considerable additional costs. Rectangular expansion joints with rounded corners in any size.

Pressure range
The standard expansion joints can be supplied for pressures up to PN 40 depending on nominal diameter, bellows construction and type of construction. Please request a quote for higher pressures.

Construction
Single-, double- or multi-walled bellows in accordance with requirements or regulations.

Materials
For temperatures up to 600ºC, the standard material for bellows and conduits is V2A or V4A (material 1.4541, 1.4301, 1.4571, 1.4435), for higher temperatures it is material 1.4828 or 1.4878. Special materials such as Hastelloy, Incoloy or Inconel can also be supplied. For multi-walled bellows it is possible, if required, to select a higher quality material for the internal and external layer than for the intermediate layers which are usually made of material 1.4301. Connectors and anchorings are made of unalloyed steel, rust-proof or acid-proof stainless steel or high-temperature steel, depending on requirements.

Connections
Welding flanges, loose and integral flanges, threaded joints, in accordance with German and international standards. Special connections in accordance with customer drawings are also possible.
