In close collaboration with our customers during planning - for example of an electroplating plant - RENNER defines the interfaces and the functional design, considering all special wishes. Every customer receives his individual functional module, ready to be installed.
Filtering device with activated carbon unit
Filtering installations with parallel activated carbon filter chamber are especially used with electroplating baths.
What's activated carbon?
Activated carbon is pure and higly porous carbon with a large surface area (of up to 300 m² per gram).
It is typically used as an adsorbent.
Fields of application:
§ Purification of drinking water (usually to adsorb odorous and flavouring substances).
§ Adsorption of organic substances such as oil, for example.
§ Removal of foreign metals from electroplating baths.
§ Recovery of precious metals from flushing water.
