SCP2 [sanitary, selfpriming and air handling pump, up to 15 kW]

The Packo SCP2 range are air handling and selfpriming centrifugal pumps. They are ideally suited as CIP-return pump, to transfer a mixture of cleaning fluid and air. This range goes up to 100 m³/h / 440 US.GPM - 45 m / 150 ft - 11 kW / 15 HP.

Technical specifications

The design is based on the design of the FP2 range.

• Only the pump casing is different, making the pump air handling and selfpriming.

Working principle

• For good priming, a sufficient volume of liquid should be available in the casing.
• Liquid and air are sucked from the inlet chamber and mixed by the impeller. Ther mixture leaves the volute and is separated. The air leaves the pump through the outlet while the liquid is recirculated. This liquid is mixed again with air from the inlet chamber. This cycle continues until all the air is removed from the suction line.
• From that moment, the pump starts functioning as a normal centrifugal pump. When the pump is stopped, it will retain enough liquid to selfprime when next started.
